Global Talent  

Global Talent replaced the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) and applies to those who possess a recognised exceptional talent or are demonstrating an exceptional promise in the field of academia or research, arts and culture or digital technology.

Endorsement

Before applying for this visa, you should apply for endorsement with an accredited institution, recognised by the Home Office and obtain confirmation or recognition by the accredited body.

The endorsement application should be made first and they should be in one of the following fields:

• Science
• Research
• Rengineering
• Humanities
• Medicine
• Digital technology
• The arts
• Fashion
• Architecture
• Film and television

From an approved endorsing body:

• Arts Council England - for the arts, culture, architecture, fashion, film and television
• British Academy – for humanities and social sciences
• Royal Academy of Engineering – for engineering
• Royal Society – for natural sciences and medical science research
• Tech Nation– for digital technology
• UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) – for science and research

Validity Period of Global Talent

You are allowed to live for 5 years at a time in the UK. You can extend your visa upon the expiry of your visa.

Indefinite Leave to Remain

This will depend on the way you have applied and on your job. You might be able to apply for settlement after 3 or 5 years of stay in the UK.
